Terms & Conditions
- The hirer must be over 18, or accompanied by an adult.
- The hirer must be physically fit and must not be liable to any complaint which precludes strenuous exertion, and must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- A CE compliant buoyancy aid must be worn at all times.
- To hire a sailing boat you must have RYA level 2, or have sufficient experience to handle the craft in fair weather. Similarly BCU levels apply for the hiring of kayaks or canoes.
- The hirer must be aware of any dangers and must act in a careful and responsible manner at all times, and have consideration to others on site.
- The hirer is responsible for costs of recovery for any occurrence which requires assistance.
- There is no safety cover permanently operating on the lake. Boats may be hired only if safety cover is in operation.
- The hiring of all craft is subject to availability and at the discretion of staff in attendance at the time.
- Wykeham Watersports reserve the right to cancel, restrict or refuse any hiring at anytime.
- Hirers must read the site regulations and sign the hire form prior to hiring any craft.
